Install Device Software Updates

Software updates improve performance, fix bugs and enhance security. Installing them helps keep your Verizon Voice Gateway safe and running efficiently.

Before you begin

The device automatically receives over-the-air software updates periodically.
To manually install an update, connect the power adapter and ensure the battery is above 50% capacity.
Keep the device connected to power during the 15-minute update process.
You can't make or receive phone calls while a software update is in progress.

Steps

  1. From the Home screen, press the
    Center button
     to open the menu.
    Use the Up and Down buttons to navigate and the Center button to select.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Update
    .
  3. Select
    Yes
     then press the
    Center button
     to check for updates.
    The device downloads and installs the update automatically if a new version is available.
  4. Allow the device to automatically restart once the installation completes.
