Use facial recognition on your motorola edge - 2026 to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Face & Fingerprint Unlock
    .
  3. Enter the current pattern, PIN or password.
  4. Tap
    Face Unlock
     then do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Set up
        .
      2. Tap the
        Skip lock screen switch
         or
        Lift to unlock switch
         to turn on or off then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Align your face within the circle then follow the onscreen prompts until the process completes.
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Delete face data
        .
      2. To confirm, tap
        Delete
        .
