Your motorola edge - 2026 lets you combine or separate multiple contacts that were saved with different details or appear as duplicates.

Before you begin

The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (e.g., Gmail™, Facebook®, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
     then tap a contact.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To link a contact:
      1. Press and hold the first contact to be linked until a checkmark appears.
      2. Select additional contacts to be linked.
      3. Tap the
        3-dot Menu
        .
      4. Tap
        Link
        .
    • To unlink a contact:
      1. Tap a linked contact.
      2. Tap the
        3-dot Menu
        .
      3. Tap
        View linked contacts
        .
      4. Tap
        Unlink
         then tap
        Unlink
         to confirm.
