Set Lock Screen Notifications

Choose whether messages and alerts show in full, remain private or stay silent while the screen on your Pixel 11 / 11 Pro / 11 Pro XL is locked.

Before you begin

Lock screen notifications are only available if a screen lock is enabled.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Notifications on lock screen
    .
  3. Tap the
    Show on lock screen switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. Tap
    Compact
     or
    Full list
     view.
  5. Configure what to show on the lock screen by tapping the corresponding switches to turn on or off:
    • Show viewed notifications
    • Show silent notifications
    • Show sensitive notifications
