Manage Settings

Adjust backup settings in the Verizon Cloud app on your Apple® iPhone® or iPad® to control what types of files are backed up and whether the app can use mobile data or only Wi-Fi.

Before you begin

Unless a tablet has its own 10-digit mobile number, it can only share a Verizon Cloud account with another device.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Verizon Cloud app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Gear icon
    .
  3. Tap
    Backup
     then do any of the following:
    • To specify whether or not Cloud can use your mobile data connection, select
      Wifi & Mobile networks
       or
      Wifi Only
      .
    • To specify what types of content you want Cloud to upload (Photos, Videos, Contacts), tap the appropriate switch to turn on or off.
    • To allow Cloud to upload photos and videos while you're not using the app, tap the
      Background photo and video upload switch
       to turn on or off.
