Manually update your inbox, calendar, contacts, etc. to stay up to date on your info. You can also adjust sync settings on your Apple® iPad® to keep up with your email in real time.

Before you begin

Fetch New Data is a feature that allows the user to select how often the device checks for new email. Push is a feature that's only available with certain email accounts that automatically push email to the device.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Apps
    Mail
    Mail Accounts
    .
  3. Tap
    Fetch New Data
    .
  4. Tap the
    Push switch
     to turn on or off.
  5. Tap an account then select a schedule option (Push, Fetch or Manual).
  6. Tap
    Accounts
     to return to the previous page.
  7. Select a frequency option (e.g., Automatically, Manually, etc.).
