How does the Refer a Friend program work?

You and your friend who referred you BOTH can earn a Prepaid Mastercard® when your account is active for 60 days and your bills are up to date.

Refer a Friend Program Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to Verizon’s Refer a Friend program. By referring a friend, or placing a new online order as a result of a referral, or otherwise participating in this program, you agree to be bound by these terms.

  • What is the Refer a Friend Program?

  • Verizon’s Refer a Friend program is just one of the many ways that Verizon provides customers with a little "Thank You" for choosing Verizon. Refer a friend to Verizon and you (and your friend) may be eligible for a Prepaid Mastercard ® when your friend signs up online for qualifying residential services using your referral code. You must remain an active Verizon Fios customer in good standing to be eligible.

  • Who can participate?

  • Any existing residential Verizon Fios customer in good payment standing, and the friend they refer to Verizon, is eligible to participate in the Refer a Friend program. The program is only available online at Verizon.com/referafriend. Current Verizon customers who initiate a referral are defined as "Referrers." Prospective Verizon Fios customers who become customers upon accepting a referral are defined as "Referees."

  • What are the qualifying services Referee must order?

  • Qualifying residential services include Triple Play, Double Play or Fios Gigabit Connection. Services that may be included in the qualifying Triple or Double Plays are: Fios TV, Fios Internet, Fios Digital Voice, Verizon High Speed Internet, and Verizon Freedom Value/Verizon Freedom Essentials phone service, and other voice services that Verizon makes eligible. Standalone data plans with lower speeds than Gigabit Connection do not qualify.

  • What is the value of the Prepaid Mastercard®?*

  • The amount of the Prepaid Mastercard® varies based on the package the Referee chooses. The Prepaid card amounts include:

    • Triple Play = $100 Prepaid Mastercard®
    • Double Play = $ 75 Prepaid Mastercard®
    • Fios Gigabit Connection = $50 Prepaid Mastercard®

  • How do I make a referral?

    • Sign in to your My Verizon account or My Fios App and visit the Refer a Friend page to get your unique referral code
    • Share the code with your friend(s) via email, My Fios App, social, and more!
    • If your friend orders qualifying Verizon service(s) online using your referral code, you will receive up to a $100 Prepaid Mastercard® when your friend’s account has been active for 60 days and all their bills are up to date.
    • You (Referrer) must be an active customer in good payment standing for at least 60 days after your friend (Referee) installs service.
    • Check your email for instructions on how to register for the card.

     

  • How many referrals can I make?

  • The sky’s the limit, as long as you remain a Verizon customer with your bill paid in full.

  • What if I have been referred by my friend? Can I earn a Prepaid Mastercard® too?

  • Yes! Just follow these easy steps:

    • Visit Verizon.com/referafriend, and enter your friend’s Refer a Friend Code.
    • Complete an online order for a Triple Play, Double Play, or Fios Gigabit Connection
    • Have service installed and sign up for My Verizon to track the status of the reward.
    • Once your account has been active for 60 days with no past due balance, you are eligible to register for a Prepaid Mastercard® worth up to $100.
    • Check your email for instructions on how to register for the card.

     

  • What Are the Eligibility Requirements?

    • Referee must be a new residential customer, defined as anyone who has not been a Verizon Fios customer for at least 90 days prior to the referral.
    • Referee must order qualifying service(s) online at Verizon.com/referafriend using a valid referral code at the time of order. Codes cannot be added after order is placed.
    • Referee must have an active Verizon account with no past due bills for at least 60 days.
    • Referrer must be an active Verizon Fios customer with no past due bills for at least 60 days after the Referee installs service.
    • Only one referrer can receive rewards for the same referral. We will honor referrals in the order that they are received.
    • The Referrer and Referee cannot live in the same household.
    • There is no limit on the number of referrals the Referrer can make.
    • Referrer cannot earn a referral reward for referring someone who is already a Verizon customer or has been within the last 90 days, or for referring herself or an individual who resides in the same household.
    • Eligibility requirements are subject to change. Verizon reserves the right to refuse to honor any referral based on a failure to adhere to the Terms of this Program, including these eligibility requirements.

     

  • I did not receive my Prepaid Mastercard®. What do I do?

    • You can track the status of your Prepaid card by logging into My Verizon and choosing the Refer a Friend tile.
    • Check your email to ensure you registered to receive the card. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive a card after your register.
    • If you have done all these things, and have not received your card, please contact us so that we may assist you.

     

  • Additional Terms.

  • Verizon may terminate or modify, without liability, all or any part of the Refer a Friend program, in our sole discretion, with or without notice. Verizon reserves the right to suspend or terminate any customer’s participation in the Refer-A-Friend program for fraud, abuse, misuse, harassment, or other inappropriate or suspicious activity that we feel, in our sole discretion, compromises the fairness of our Program in any way. Verizon may change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and by your participation in the program, you agree to abide by the revised version of the Terms and Conditions. If changes are made, the updated version of the Terms and Conditions will be posted on this website.
