FiOS Internet

What are the requirements for accessing NFL Network Game Extra?
You'll need to have Windows Media Player and Flash 8 or better installed on your computer. If you don't have these plug-ins, download and install Windows Media Player and Flash as needed.

Macintosh requirements: If you're using a Macintosh, you'll need to have a plug-in that lets QuickTime play Windows Media files. If you don't have the plug-in already, download and install it before continuing.

To view game previews, editorial insights, and game highlights, you need Verizon Broadband (DSL or FiOS). To view live game streams, you need Verizon Broadband and TV service purchased through Verizon (DIRECTV® or FiOS TV).

Note: If you have Verizon Broadband but did not acquire DIRECTV through Verizon, you won't be able to view live game streams.

How much does NFL Network Game Extra cost?
There is no charge for this service for Verizon customers who meet the requirements.

I don't have access to NFL Network Game Extra - how do I sign up?
You need an active Verizon Broadband account as well as a qualifying Verizon TV subscription. To learn more about Verizon Broadband and TV packages, see the Verizon web site. Once your service is activated and installed, you can access NFL Network Game Extra content by logging on with your Verizon user ID and password.

What do I do if I'm having trouble viewing the action?
Most transmission issues are related to Internet network congestion. See Internet Streaming 101 for more information.

Which games will be broadcast on NFL Network Game Extra?
The countdown clocks within NFL Network Game Extra give you a precise schedule of featured games.

How do the highlights work?
Game highlights are produced in real-time by the NFL during the game. You can play the highlights as soon as they become available. However, since the game is being streamed live, you may miss some of the live action by viewing the highlights immediately. You may want to view the highlights during commercial breaks, at half time, or after the game.

How do I change the camera angles during the game?
Click any of the four camera angle boxes at the bottom of the screen to change the camera view in the main video window.

How do I switch to full screen?
In the main video window, click the Minimize icon. Click the Maximize icon to return to the standard screen size.

My Game Statistics are not updating, what do I do?
You may need to change your browser settings so that newer versions of a web page are displayed.
  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.

    The General tab is displayed.

  2. Under the Temporary Files section (for Internet Explorer 6) or Browser History (for Internet Explorer 7), click the Settings button.

  3. Under the "Check for newer versions of stored pages" section, click Every visit to the page and then click OK.
