Yes, I'd recommend this product.

This is a replacement phone for my 94-year-old mother. Her original flip phone died and this was a replacement. I went through Verizon because it’s the same phone she had and there would be no need to teach her a new phone. Other flip phones were available at the Big Box electronic store for about $275 less but again, I didn’t want her to have to learn a new phone.

I purchased this Kyocera flip phone to replace an older model that I had. The phone is great but I only gave it 4 stars and here's why. At the time of the purchase the rep told me that the contacts would drop down within 24 hours. That didn't happen and the option to do so was not there. I made a call and I also revisited the Verizon store only to find out after the fact that Verizon no longer provides Cloud service to the newer flip phones. During that visit I was told by another rep that it was because I had the basic plan. How true that is I'm not sure because I didn't pursue it any further, I was to rattled and didn't know if I could believe what I was being told.

We're sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with the Cloud app. We do know that the Cloud app is preinstalled on the phone. You can find it by going to the Menu and selecting the Media Center. If you would still like to try to use it, contact our customer support team at 1-800-349-4478, or through our support page kyoceramobile.com/contactus/support/, and we will assist you. There are also other ways to transfer contacts to your new phone. You can transfer them from your old phone using Bluetooth. Or, you can import them in a VCF file. Kyocera

very tough phone! i work from mud, rain, to little bit of snow everyday and this phone is holding up strong. ive dropped it into a few puddles and it still works like new. i cant use andriods of tough screen phone cuz they'll never last a week, but im very impressed with this phone and i do recommend it for hard conditions.

The KyoceraXV Extreme+ has THE LOUDEST speakerphone function of any cell phone I've ever had, and I first started using cell phones in 1998! This is excellent, because it would not pair with the Bluetooth in my 24 year old car. The speakers on this phone are just as loud as the bluetooth speaker!

The best flip phone out there, solid item, good quality, no bugs, no delays, good service, but the texting is like the phone hates you, like a deep hate, no t9 or a similar software like the other flips have, it's not made for texting on less you wanna work on your self and learn how to be calm in annoying situations

When this phone was first launched, its predictive text entry did not work like T9 and we received a lot of constructive comments about how to improve it. After developing and testing enhancements to the feature, we released a software update which enabled text entry similar to T9 which has received a lot of positive feedback. You can enter this text entry mode when in a text entry field by pressing the Left Soft Key and selecting Prediction. Please make sure your phone is running software version 1.300VZ or higher. Does this phone have redial capabilities? Also, how do I delete recent changes I have made in Settings? Thanks.

On DuraXV Extreme+, you can redial the previous number by pressing the Send key twice or from Call History. There is no way to specifically delete the most recent changes you have made in Settings, however, you can reset the phone completely to the factory default. This will reset all of the Settings and it will also erase all of your data. (There is an option to erase the SD card, too.) You can do this in Settings > Phone settings > Reset phone. When it asks for the code, enter the last four digits of your phone number unless you have changed the code to something else. Then follow the instructions.
