This Gizmo is ready for adventure, with a diamond-like coating protecting its larger 1.6" display from scratches. It comes with a wireless dock that makes it easy to just set it down, charge it up and go. For young minds, there’s a math game for turning idle time into learning time. Gizmo helps kids stay active with a daily step goal that you set for them in the GizmoHub app. Parents can use GizmoHub⁴ to manage, text, call¹ and locate² their child’s Gizmo. And with voice calls, a QWERTY keyboard and speech-to-text messages, it’s easy for kids and parents to stay in contact. This Gizmo model is without camera for parents who prefer to not have that option.

Good for children with autism

It’s great. I originally bought this specifically so that I could keep track of my autistic son while he was on the bus and at school. Before, I tried the apple airtags and the tags from Life360. Both products are limited to bouncing off specific hotspots, that just didn’t even update when I needed them to be active. With him getting this watch, it’s given me the piece of mind I’ve been looking for all these years. There is also step goals, which I didn’t think my son would mess with, but as soon as he started checking out the new watch, he started jogging in place and testing out the function. You can make to do lists for your child, set the contact list, and alarms. The contact is only done via the watches app, so nobody can randomly call or text, nor can unwanted people call or text.

After purchasing this product, I was surprised to find that it doesn’t come with a charging brick. Had to spend another $20 to purchase that. I then attempted to purchase a screen protector only to find that the Adventure 3 does not have the same screen size as the regular Gizmo 3 and there are no companies that sell accessories for the Adventure 3 model. At this rate, I should have just purchased my son a phone. I’m concerned about the longevity of this product without some protection. When I purchased the phone I specifically asked if I had to text through the gizmo app. I was told that I could use my regular text service. This is not the case. While the device has an associated phone number, you can only text using the Gizmo app. All of these little things may have changed my mind before purchasing.

Hi Kcopley. Thank you for your feedback. It is common for smaller electronic devices such as smartwatches and phones to include the charging cable but not the wall plug brick. Regarding an accessory screen protector, yes the Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure does have a larger screen, but the screen is also tougher because it has a diamond-like carbon coating (DLC). So, the watch does have its own screen protection without needing to purchase an accessory screen protector.

That's why location and map features are front and center on the GizmoHub app. Create location alerts to know your child's location at a specific time each day or when they cross in or out of specific areas. Tap the refresh location or real-time tracking buttons to get location updates on demand. Also, your child can easily use their Gizmo to check in and send you a real-time location notification.

Stay connected.

Keep in touch through voice calls and in-app messaging. Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure comes with an accurate, easy to use QWERTY keyboard. Another cool feature is speech-to-text, allowing kids to talk to their Gizmo and have their words transcribed into text messages. Text message conversations can be one-to-one or a group chat. Using the GizmoHub app, parents can create chat groups for their child and add the group members from their list of approved contacts

has just over a year now and at first no problems with the gizmo 3. My daughter takes care of it so much. Doesn't put in water, takes it off even to brush her teeth or wash dishes. But now it sometimes doesn't want to turn on and when on a call we can barely hear her and she can hear us with lots of static noise. It is being used in the same locations so it not connectivity. I loved the watch till now. But need to know how to get this fixed.

The blue one is not blue, it's purple! The box says Daphne Blue not BLUE! The dot on the order page looks navy but it's not! When I tried to exchange it they asked me to return it first, pay a $50 restocking fee but with the promo this watch only costs $100 so why in the world would I pay for false advertising at 50% of the cost of the item? Thanks Verizon my boy is probably going to get beat up.

Hi Karina. We're a little confused. Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure does not come in Daphne Blue. Daphne Blue is available for Gizmo Watch 3 (not the Adventure model). As for Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure, we do have it available in Dark Navy with either a silicone band or a nylon band. The nylon band does have some purple in the pattern, which we think is quite stylish for boys or girls. If that is the watch you have the band has a standard 20mm width, so if you find a band you prefer you can swap it out.

This has been a great watch for my daughter - she can get in touch with me or my husband easily with a text or a call. Would definitely recommend it to someone wanting to keep track of their kids without all of the bells and whistles of an apple watch.

Hi Spragur. Yes, Gizmo Watch 3 and Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure have some differences. Adventure does not have a camera, but it does have more scratch resistant screen and a wireless charger. Gizmo does not access online content, plus not having a music player saves on the battery consumption. First off the watch is good. But I was under the impression it had a camera on it from what I read. I upgraded from the 2 to the 3 for my daughter. So reading the the details it says has a rear camera. Then I try setting it up once I get the watch I see no option to set it up. Go back to info in the watch then I read the specs and I reads under where it says has rear camera. Then it says this watch has no camera for parents who don't want it. I'm disappointed.

Charging pad (with no studs) is best feature. My son likes the ability to track activities like walking and running. Location tracking seems faster than Gizmo Version 1.

Hi Tim. Thanks for mentioning the Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure's wireless charging dock. It does make charging easier. Did you notice how when you put it on the charger, the watch goes into nightstand mode? You can even set an alarm so your son gets up for school with a bit less hassle from you :-) Cheers!

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

This watch is perfect for my 7 year old! It’s easy to work and has fun learning games! It allows for up to 20 contacts and gizmo to gizmo messages between his friends. The ONLY thing I wish they would update for this watch is for it to be Water Proof, these are kid watches that are worn in many activities outside and waterproofing would make parents minds more at ease.

Regarding We'd say that Gizmo Watch 3 is water-resistant, but here's some context you might find helpful: The IP68 rating Gizmo Watch 3 means the watch can be submerged in shallow water for up to an hour. It's good for, say, washing hands, getting caught in the rain and such. However, being overly cautious, we don't recommend using it while swimming, and avoid exposing it to high-pressure water spray, for example at a water park, or from a hose, or from jumping into the pool.

Yes. Gizmo has an alarm clock and also has a To-do list that you can create and schedule in the GizmoHub app on your phone. The to-do list will then sync over the network with your kid's Gizmo.

Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure has an auto-answer feature that can be turned on or off in the GizmoHub app. When the Auto-answer calls setting is turned on, GizmoWatch will automatically answer the call in 10 seconds. Auto-answered calls automatically end after 1 minute.

What are the recommended specs for a wall power adapter / charging block for the wireless charger?

You can use a commonly available US standard 120v / 60Hz type A adaptor that has a two prong plug into the wall and a USB-C connector to plug the charger cable into.
