Horrible Battery Life

Bad battery life . 3 months

Have had 3 of these phones. All defective in the same way. Batteries drain from 100% to 17% in 5 hrs with minimal use (no internet use at all). I've bought expensive chargers, changed outlets around the house when charging, different plug/box. All the same results. It also mutes both parties during a call. Just likeb a dropped call except call is still connected.

Would often freeze up or reboot itself during long calls, if froze had to remove battery to reboot. Today with a decent charge it just died and won't restart. Was not happy overall with this choice.

i got this phone and made sure it's the right model. (text and call only) sku-tcl4056v. the guy in the store handed me this telling me there was no internet. there is an entire web browser. there is no app to get to it. i'm guessing all they did was remove the app shortcut to get to the browser for the text and call only version of this phone, however they didn't remove the browser or it's functions from the phone at all. you just have to jump through a few extra hoops to get to it. if you receive a website link within a text message, with the conversation closed at the time of receiving it, and then open it, the link appears in bold and underlined. when you click on it, it will open up a legit web browser. sometimes the browser is view only. (not allowing you to search or refresh or look at your own history etc...) but if you click on something that opens a pop up window (like a some full sized pictures), it will open it in a new page/window/tab that DOES allow full browser tools. another way to get to it is to log onto a public wifi. it will automatically open a browser and load the wifi's login page to accept terms and conditions. from there, you can surf the entirety of the internet. they just made it look like there's no internet/ truthfully though, this phone has a fully functional web browser that you'll notice after a while of using it.

Unlike all my previous flip phones, using this TCL is inefficient (have to hit too many buttons to get around) and non-intuitive (not immediately clear what buttons to hit). Battery seems to get used up more quickly, too. Would switch to another brand if it weren't for the $50 Verizon restocking fee.

It does what it needs, and nothing more, but the standard pro version is such an improvement that it leaves this in the dust. This is a basic phone that I disliked having.

Sorry to hear that, but the spam call is related to your phone number. The U.S. Federal Trade Commision do have a website for you to register your number for "Do Not Call" at https://www.donotcall.gov/. You can also block the number by selecting "Options" on the bottom right, selecting "Call information", and then selecting "Block" at the bottom right. Hope this helps. - Kevin.

Hello, if your phone is out of power, please allow 10 to 15 minutes for the battery to charge before seeing the battery indicator. Allow the battery to fully charge for about 3 hours. It is best to charge the phone before the battery is completely out. Hope this helps. - Kevin.
