Recently bought the smart sound bar with the bass 500 unit to replace my aging Bose 321 system. Though the sound was great, I found the soundstage in my place was lacking so I added the surround speakers which made it a true 7.1 surround system with great sound - especially with movies.

Great Bose sound as you would expect, but definitely
Needs the sub to go with it. I got the sub on sale, and now it gives that Bose full spectrum sound we all know and love. Yes, it will crank enough to make your neighbor mad on movies or music. Couldn’t be more pleased for the price point asked. Got both the bar and the sub on sale. Don’t think it’s worth the regular asking price, but if it’s on sale it’s a bargain.

I purchased the Bose Smart Sound Bar last month to replace a 10-year old Bose Sound Bar. I thought the old one was very good, until this purchase. Technology has sure come a long way. I'm very pleased with this purchase (amazing sound and voice conversations are much more clear). I will buy Bose products again.

In use about a month. Replaced a (discontinued) sound touch 300. Have an issue or 2 .. working my way thru downloaded handbook and seeing if I can address my concerns and explore all the useful info.

Product is amazing sound quality wise.
It however does not work. When it works it's fantastic, but at this point I have sent it back three separate times for repair and none of the fixes has stuck for more than a couple of days. (The support line has actually been super helpful, no notes on them.)
It's possible I just got a faulty model, but I cannot in good faith recommend this product with my experience.

The app does not work on my google phone. before I even enter my wifi password the enter button is over written by enter manually. it will not hook up as bluetooth either. I finally got it to hook up to the internet working it manually and it said activation failed. I am done. you would think a company as big as bose could figure it out. I am sending it back to bose.
