My mom does not have internet where she lives but wants to use her laptop to check emails and such. No heavy internet use at all. I also would like to set up wifi security cameras. Can this handle those tasks? She has a verizon account already

Is it possible to assign a static public IP to this hotspot? I need to be able to whitelist for some business apps.
This device has inbound filtering of IP addresses and it is possible to use a static public IP with it as long as the Password is entered when connecting to it.
