Does the google nest doorbell kit furnish an extender plate in the box
Thanks for asking. The Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen) comes with just a standard base plate for installation. It does come with a wedge that you can use to adjust the doorbell’s camera angle if it’s located in a corner. Here’s a link with more information: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/12570869

How to get to the back of door bell to reset
Great question, Paul. Here’s how to reset the Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd gen): 1. Use the hex key that came with your doorbell into the screw at the top of the doorbell. A thumb tack or paper clip can also work. 2. Locate the reset pin hole on the back of the doorbell. The reset pin on the Nest Doorbell 2nd gen (wired) is located above the QR code on the back of the doorbell. 3. Press and hold for five seconds. 4. Your doorbell will restart, and the status light will be a steady and solid white. Here’s a link with more information: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9252162? If you need any extra hands, reach out to us here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?
For Nest Doorbell (Wired): Locate the release pin: On the back of the wired doorbell, near the top, there is a small hole. Detach the doorbell: Use a tool (like a paperclip or the Nest Doorbell removal tool) to depress the release pin while gently pulling the doorbell away from the mount. Locate the reset button: For the 2nd generation wired doorbell, the reset button is located above the QR code on the back. Press and hold: Insert and hold the reset tool (paperclip or similar) for 10-12 seconds. Observe the lights: The status light will blink yellow, then turn solid yellow, indicating the reset is in progress. Release the button: Once the light is solid yellow, release the button. Wait for confirmation: The doorbell will chime and the light ring will start slowly pulsing blue, indicating a successful reset. How do you down load software.
Hi, Kevin Edwards. Thanks for your question. As long as your Nest camera or doorbell is connected to Wi-Fi and the internet, it should automatically update itself. You don't need to do anything. Nest cameras and doorbells can't be updated manually.

3 hours of free event video history. Is the 3 hour event video history a 1 time deal or am I able to delete the history so that i can record newer video?
Hey there, J Eh. The event video history of your Nest Doorbell (battery) is deleted on a rolling basis. If you’ve set your camera to record and save specific kinds of events in its video history, your camera will detect and process any important activity that it detects, but will only save footage of events that you’ve enabled to the cloud. To know more about the Nest Doorbell (battery), feel free to contact us on our Google Nest Help page here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
J Eh, If you have a newer camera like Nest Cam (battery) or Nest Doorbell (battery), you can get up to 3 hours of event video history without a subscription. But for most older Nest camera and doorbell models, you need a Nest Aware subscription to get event video history or 24/7 video history. https://www.verizon.com/products/google-nest-doorbell-battery/ -Natasha
