Our JBL Partybox On The Go Essential has an auxiliary input port that lets you connect it to other JBL speakers with an output auxiliary port, such as the JBL Partybox 110, 120, 310, 320, 520, or 710, using a 3.5mm audio cable. Please note that in this setup, your Partybox On The Go Essential will function as the secondary speaker.jbl.com Originally posted on jbl.com

What is the difference vs regular version of PartyBox-On-the-GO? No comparison option
Thanks for your question. The main differences between our JBL PartyBox On-The-Go and JBL PartyBox On-The-Go Essential are that on the Essential mode, we have removed the aux input and the USB charge out is 5V and 0.5 A compared with the 5V 2.1 A that is on the JBL PartyBox OTG. Audio quality and performance are the same since they have the same driver size installed and watts.
