[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the chance to review this OtterBox Symmetry Series Soft Touch case in Dark Echo for my new iPhone 16, and overall, I'm quite pleased with it. The "soft touch" is definitely accurate – the silicone material feels fantastic in hand. It provides a really nice grip, so I feel confident holding my phone without it slipping. The Dark Echo color is a sleek, matte black that looks very professional and doesn't show fingerprints easily, which is a big plus for me.
Protection-wise, it feels like a true OtterBox. While it's not as bulky as some of their other lines like the Defender, it still offers a good sense of security. I haven't dropped my phone (thankfully!), but the raised edges around the screen and camera lens give me peace of mind that those vulnerable areas are protected. It also works flawlessly with my MagSafe charger and accessories, snapping on securely without any issues.
The case fits my iPhone 16 perfectly, with precise cutouts for all the buttons and ports. The buttons are still easy to press despite being covered by the case. My only minor gripe, and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the soft silicone material, while feeling great, seems like it might be prone to attracting lint and dust over time. I've only used it for a week, but I can already see some small particles sticking to it. It's easy enough to wipe off, but it's something to be aware of.
