I ordered my galaxy ring when they were first introduced, as a complement to my Galaxy Ultra watch. On a day-to-day basis this ring might share the load of the watch (thereby increasing the watch's battery life) but it is overkill to wear them both. So, I ended up just wearing this at night, during sleep.
Fast forward to a few months over a year's time and the ring will no longer maintain a charge for more than a few hours or stay connected to my Fold 6 phone. In reviewing the various forums and news columns, it seems this is not isolated. The rings fail right around the 1-year mark, or when the warranty expires. If I had known that I would have to spend an extra $100+ every year to replace the ring through warranty service, I would not have purchased it in the first place.
So, as a stand-alone health monitor, it functions as expected but do note (or read up!) on its life expectancy.
I will take this as a consequence of being a guinea pig for Samsung's new tech - but it was an expensive lesson that I had to learn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband bought this ring for me for my birthday this year because he knew that I've been wanting to get one since they were released. The ring was everything I wanted it to be for the first three months, but overnight the ring stopped holding a charge. It went from lasting for a week on a single charge to needing to be charged daily. I was also disappointed that there was no way to access Galaxy AI, but I was happy to have the features the ring provided. I just wish that I could find out what happened to my ring so that it stopped holding a charge for longer than 24 hours.

I had to get the ring replaced and the new ring is working again as advertised. I am just worried ill have to get this replaced in a year as well.

Granted, I was wearing my Watch 8 on Friday and Saturday so I didn't wear my ring, but I just left it out and didn't put it on the charger. I have been wearing it day and night except for those two days and it still hasn't needed charged (it's the following Tuesday). I've been impressed with its performance and really am glad I purchased it.
