The Samsung Galaxy S23+ is not a waterproof device but has an IP rating of IP68 making it water resistant, but would need to be fully dried off and cleaned if exposed to water to prevent any damage. We would love nothing more than to help you troubleshoot the frustrations you mention experiencing with your new device. For the speed of your new device, we recommend using the settings app, under display, and adjusting the motion smoothness from standard to adaptive. This will enhance the refresh rate of your device. For the display we have a troubleshooting article you can use with this matter titled "Galaxy phone or tablet's screen is frozen or responds too slowly". If you are using a screen protector, we also recommend enabling the touch sensitivity feature. For the battery we have a few articles you can use titled "Get the most out of your Galaxy phone or tablet battery", "Apps are draining battery on Galaxy phone or tablet", and "Galaxy Battery - Optimization". This device comes with a limited 30-day warranty. It has been used and is sold in as-is condition. If you experience a manufacturing defect within 90 days from the date of purchase and activation of Verizon service, Verizon will replace it with a comparable unit.
