Consent to Electronic Records and Signatures

    1. OVERVIEW

    Verizon Communications Inc. and its subsidiaries, affiliates, assignees, agents, and participating financial institutions (collectively, "Verizon," "we," "us," or "our") may be required by law to provide certain information to you in writing. By providing your consent below ("Consent"), you agree to receive such information electronically and to use electronic signatures as described in these Terms and Conditions. We recommend that you save or print a copy of this document for your records.

    2. SCOPE OF CONSENT

    By providing your Consent, you agree to receive all required disclosures, agreements, statements, notices, and other communications ("Disclosures") electronically and to use electronic signatures in connection with your entire relationship with us, including all current and future transactions. Your Consent is entirely voluntary. You will not be penalized or denied service solely because you decline to consent to electronic delivery, except as otherwise required by law or as expressly set forth in your service agreement with Verizon.

    Unless you withdraw your Consent, the following types of communications will be delivered to you electronically, where applicable:

    • This Consent to Electronic Records and Signatures;
    • Service agreements, terms of service, equipment installment plans, device financing agreements, lease agreements, and any amendments or modifications thereto;
    • Monthly billing statements and invoices;
    • Notices of material changes to terms of service, account terms, rates, or pricing;
    • Privacy notices and policy updates;
    • Responses to disputes, complaints, or inquiries, and account status alerts, upgrade eligibility notices, and past-due balance notifications;
    • Any other disclosures, notices, or information required or permitted by applicable law in connection with your services or your relationship with us.

    We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to provide any Disclosures in written (paper) form rather than electronically, regardless of your Consent.

    3. HOW ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS WILL BE DELIVERED

    Disclosures will be delivered to you through one or more of the following electronic means:

    • Email to the email address of record associated with your Verizon account;
    • Text messages (including SMS & RCS) to the wireless telephone number(s) you designate for receipt of Disclosures, if you elect to receive additional notices by text;
    • Electronic alerts or notifications posted to or pushed through your My Verizon online account or the My Verizon app;
    • Messages on your monthly paperless bill; and
    • Posting on Verizon’s website (e.g., the Legal Terms & Notices section of www.verizon.com) for account-affecting announcements such as privacy policy changes or updates to terms of service.

    All electronic Disclosures will be available to view, download, or print through your My Verizon account.

    4. HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

    In order to receive, access, and retain Disclosures electronically, you must have the following items and features:

    • A valid and active email address;
    • A working connection to the Internet;
    • A computer or mobile device with a current operating system, a supported internet browser (with cookies enabled), and a PDF reader;
    • Sufficient electronic storage capacity on your device or an external storage device to retain electronic Disclosures; and
    • A printer, if you wish to print paper copies.

    We will notify you if we change these requirements in a way that creates a material risk that you will not be able to receive, retain, or access electronic Disclosures. Your continued use of electronic communications following such notice constitutes your continued Consent to the updated requirements.

    5. PAPER COPIES

    You have the right to receive a paper copy of any electronic Disclosure at no charge. To request a paper copy, contact Verizon Customer Service at 1-800-922-0204 (wireless) or 1-800-837-4966 (Fios).

    6. UPDATING YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION

    You agree to provide us with, and maintain, accurate and current contact information, including a valid email address and, if applicable, a valid wireless telephone number. You may update your contact information by:

    • Logging into your My Verizon online account at www.verizon.com or the My Verizon app and updating your account profile; or
    • Calling Verizon Customer Service at 1-800-922-0204 (wireless) or 1-800-837-4966 (Fios).

    7. WITHDRAWING CONSENT

    You may withdraw your Consent at any time, without charge, by calling Verizon Customer Service at 1-800-922-0204 (wireless) or 1-800-837-4966 (Fios). Withdrawal will not affect the legal validity or enforceability of any Disclosures or electronic signatures provided prior to your withdrawal. After withdrawal, we will provide future Disclosures in paper form to the extent required by applicable law.

    8. PROVIDING YOUR CONSENT

    You provide your Consent by taking an affirmative action, including:

    • Clicking or tapping the "I Agree" or equivalent button or checkbox associated with an order, enrollment, or transaction;
    • Signing electronically through a Verizon-approved electronic signature platform; or
    • Such other affirmative action as Verizon may designate from time to time.

    Your Consent remains in effect until withdrawn in accordance with Section 7 above. Your continued use of Verizon’s services after notice of changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes your continued Consent.
