Deregister iMessage for Non-Apple Device

If you recently moved away from an Apple device, unlinking your phone number from iMessage helps prevent missed texts from Apple® iPhone® users.

Before you begin

If you are experiencing the following symptoms, you may need to deregister iMessage:

You can't receive SMS on your non-Apple device when another person sends them using an iPhone.

You can't send SMS to a non-Apple device because they send as an iMessage.

Navigate to Deregister iMessage (URL: selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage).
