Verizon Ellipsis 8 - Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Ellipsis 8 tablet makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

  1. From a Home screen, tap
    Apps
     Apps icon.
    The center icon at the bottom (in portrait) or at the right (in landscape).
  2. From the Apps tab, touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag the shortcut to the desired home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. From the Widgets tab, touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    There must be sufficient space on the screen to add the widget successfully.
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g. Gmail).
  2. Drag the shortcut on to another shortcut (e.g. Email) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created.
    • To rename the folder:
      1. Tap a folder.
      2. Tap the Title bar (space under the open folder).
      3. Enter a name then tap the Checkmark icon (on the right side of the keyboard).
    • To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, folder, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to the
    Remove icon
     Remove / trashcan icon then release.
  1. Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
     (lower-left).
  3. Tap
    Pick image
     or select a wallpaper (at the bottom).
  4. If Pick image is selected:
    1. Locate then tap the preferred picture.
    2. Tap
      Set wallpaper
       (upper-left).
