Apple iPad - Turn Private Browsing On / Off

Here's how to turn your iPad's Private Browsing feature on or off.
Private Browsing allows you to search the web on your Apple® iPad® without creating a search history and prevents some websites from tracking your search patterns.
  1. Open the
    Safari app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Bookmarks icon
     Bookmarks icon.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To turn on Private Browsing, tap
      Private
      .
    • To turn off Private Browsing, tap the
      Tabs icon
       Tabs icon.
  4. If necessary, tap the
    Bookmarks icon
     to hide 'Bookmarks sidebar'.
