Activate / Set Up Device

Setting up your MiFi® U620L USB Modem U620L is quick and easy. Follow these simple steps to get your devices connected to the internet.

Before you begin

Ensure the following system requirements are met and the computer isn't connected to an alternate Internet connection (e.g. LAN, Wi-Fi):
  • Operating Systems:
    • Windows® 7 or higher
    • Mac® OS X 10.5 or higher
  • Browsers:
    • Microsoft® Internet Explorer 9 or higher
    • Mozilla® Firefox® 3.6 or higher
    • Google™ Chrome™ 9 or higher
    • Apple® Safari® 5 or higher
    • Opera® 9 or higher

Steps

  1. Connect the USB modem to the computer.
  2. Once the LED Status Indicator starts blinking green, open a web browser then navigate to:
    http://my.usb
     (IP address 192.168.1.1).
    Only the customer with the installed modem and an active connection (as indicated by the status indicators) can access the web portal.
  3. Click
    Connect
    .
    It can take up to 2 minutes to connect. If you get a message that the device is not responding, allow time for the device to complete the connection.
