Push to Talk Plus - 4G Basic Phone - Instant Personal Alerts

Here's how to send or receive a Push to Talk Plus personal alert on your 4G Basic Phone.
An Instant Personal Alert (IPA):
  • Is a call alert that can only be sent to another PTT+ contact who's on the same Verizon network as the sender.
    Alerts must be enabled and can be sent only to individual contacts, not groups.
  • Can only be sent when the sender's presence status is "Available."

Sending an Alert

  1. From the main screen, choose
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the OK button to select.
  2. Select
    Apps
     then select
    PTT PLUS
    .
    Alternatively press the
    Push To Talk key
     (located on the left side of the device).
  3. From the Home tab press
    right
     on the 5-way navigation pad.
  4. From the Contacts tab, select the appropriate contact.
    Selected when a check mark is checkbox icon present.
  5. Press the
    left soft key
     to choose Alert.
    An "Alert successfully sent!" message indicates the alert was delivered successfully, but doesn't mean it was received.

Receiving an Alert

  1. When receiving an IPA or Missed Call Alert, from the alert message press the
    Push To Talk key
     (located on the left side of the device) or press the
    left soft key
     to choose Dismiss.
