Placing calls from your Apple® iPhone® via Wi-Fi Calling expands your coverage, allowing you to talk from virtually anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection, even without a strong cellular signal.

Before you begin

Wi-Fi calls always originate in the US, even when you're outside of the US.
Calls to US numbers aren't billed (except for 411 or other premium calls) and calls to international numbers are billed according to your international long distance plan.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. From the Keypad tab, enter the desired number then tap the
    Call icon
    .
    Once the call connects, 'Wi-Fi' displays next to 'VZW' in the Status Bar.
