Choose Contacts to Display on Device

Here's how to see where your contacts display or if your phone displays duplicate contacts.

Duplicate contacts often occur on your phone when you are syncing contacts from multiple accounts. To manage your sync settings from different accounts, refer to:

You can minimize duplicates on your phone by choosing which contacts to display through your settings menu.

Android

From the Home screen, navigate to 'Contacts' or 'People'.

For ASUS devices, skip to step 4 after tapping contacts.

For Samsung, tap the

Menu icon

then skip to step 5.

Tap

Settings

Tap 'Contacts to Display' or 'Default account' for new contacts.

Select the accounts you want to use to display your contacts.

Apple iPhone

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Accounts & Passwords

From the ACCOUNTS section, tap the applicable account (e.g., iCloud, Gmail).

Tap the

Contacts switch

to turn on or off.
