Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your Apple® iPhone® to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is on, then do one of the following:
    • To connect to an available Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap the preferred network.
      2. Enter the password then tap the
        Checkmark icon
        .
    • To manually connect to a Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap
        Other
        .
      2. Enter the applicable network name into the Name field.
      3. Tap
        Security
         then select the appropriate security option (e.g., None, WEP, WPA, etc.).
      4. Tap
        Other Network
        , enter the password then tap the
        Checkmark icon
        .
    • To remove a Wi-Fi connection:
      1. Tap the
        Info icon
        .
      2. Tap
        Forget this Network
        .
      3. Tap
        Forget
        .
