Here's how to see charging status, battery life and which apps or processes use your iPhone's battery.
View Battery Life
- Open theSettings appon your Apple® iPhone®.
- TapBattery.
- Review the current battery status (e.g. battery percentage, charging status and estimated time to fully charge).To review alternate usage timeframes the appropriate tab (e.g., Last 24 Hours, Last 10 Days).Battery life is measured by standby time, talk time and data usage.
- TapBattery Healthto view Maximum Capacity.This provides info on how your battery is performing and its remaining life.
Extend Battery Life
To improve battery life, you can:
- Always make sure your device is using the latest iOS version.
- Adjust brightness settings to the lowest setting or use Automatic brightness.
- When a device accesses data, a Wi-Fi connection uses less power.
- If an app frequently awakes your display, you can turn off notifications.
- Turn off GPS when not in use.
