Apple iPhone - Enable / Disable / Modify SIM PIN
Here's how to change, enable or disable the SIM card lock code on your iPhone.
- Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card on your Apple® iPhone®, so it can't be used until the correct code is entered.
- If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My Verizon Website - Locate the SIM PIN / PUK to obtain a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).
- This option is not available if activated using an eSIM.
- Open theSettings app.
- TapCellular.
- If multiple cellular plans are active, under the 'SIMs' section tap the appropriate line.If Unavailable, under the 'Cellular Plans' section tap the appropriate line.
- TapSIM PIN.
- Tap theSIM PIN switchto turn on or off.
- Enter the SIM PIN then tapDone.The default SIM PIN is 1111.
- To change your SIM PIN, ensure Lock SIM card switch is on then do the following:
- TapChange SIM PIN.
- Enter the current SIM PIN then tapDone.
- Enter a new SIM PIN then tapDone.
- Re-enter the new SIM PIN then tapDone.
