Apple iPhone - Fetch New Data

Here's how to configure how often your iPhone checks for new email messages.
Fetch New Data is a feature that allows you to select how often your Apple® iPhone® checks for new data. Push is a feature that's only available with certain accounts that automatically push data to the device.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Mail
    Accounts
    Fetch New Data
    .
  3. Tap the
    Push switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. Select an account then select a schedule option (Push, Fetch or Manual).
    Push requires more power and may have an effect on battery life
  5. Tap
    Back
    .
  6. Select a frequency option (e.g., Automatically, Manually, etc.).
