Configure Personal Hotspot Settings

Adjusting hotspot settings allows you to control how devices connect when using your Apple® iPhone® as a portable Wi-Fi network.

Before you begin

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Personal Hotspot

Tap the

Allow Others to Join switch

to turn on.

For iPhone 12 and newer models, tap

Maximize Compatibility

in order to switch the network from 5G Hz to 2.4GHz.

To change the Wi-Fi password, tap

Wi-Fi Password

, edit the info then tap the

Checkmark icon
