ASUS ZenPad™ Z10 - Power Up in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your ZenPad Z10 that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
    An alternate method is available if the device can be powered on and is responsive.
  2. Press and hold the
    Volume Down button
    .
  3. While continuing to hold volume down, press and hold the
    Power button
     until the Fastboot options menu appears then release.
  4. From the Fastboot options menu, select
    Safe mode
    .
    Utilize the volume buttons to cycle through the available options and the power button to select.
    Powering up to Safe mode may take up to 45 seconds.
  5. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
