Signing in to your Apple® ID on your iPhone® enables full functionality with services like App Store®, Apple Music®, FaceTime®, iMessage® and more, while signing out removes that connection.

Before you begin

Sign In

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Apple Account
    .
  3. Tap
    Sign in Manually
    .
  4. Enter your Apple ID and password.
  5. If prompted, enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number to complete sign in.

Sign Out

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Apple profile
    .
  3. Tap
    Sign Out
     then enter the Apple ID password.
  4. Tap
    Erase this iPhone
     or
    Sign Out But Don't Erase
    .
  5. To confirm, enter your Apple ID password.
