Silent Mode gives you instant control over audio on your Apple® iPhone® by allowing you to choose when your phone makes noise and when it stays perfectly quiet.

Before you begin

iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max and newer have an Action button instead of a Ringer switch.

Steps

  1. Do one of the following to turn Silent Mode on or off:
    • To turn on, toggle the
      Ringer switch
       toward the back of your iPhone.
    • To turn off, toggle the
      Ringer switch
       toward the front of your iPhone.
