Apple iPhone - Turn the Find My App On / Off

Here's how to turn the Find My app on or off on your iPhone.
  • If you are unable to access the Apple® iPhone® or it is unresponsive, the Find My app can be turned off online via iCloud®.
  • To turn off the Find My app, your iPhone must be connected to a Cellular Data or Wi-Fi network. Without a connection, the app is turned off on the device but not from Apple's servers.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Apple profile
    (e.g., John Doe) at the top of the Settings menu.
  3. Navigate:
    Find My
    Find My iPhone
    .
  4. Tap the
    Find My iPhone switch
    to turn on or off.
    If option is unavailable (greyed out), ensure Stolen Device Protection is turned off.
  5. If prompted, enter your Apple ID password then tap
    Turn Off
    .
  6. If desired, tap the
    Send Last Location switch
    to turn on or off.
