Set Up Verizon Prepaid Service - Apple®

Here's how to set up Verizon prepaid service on your Apple iPhone.

  1. Open the SIM card tray with a SIM eject tool or paper clip and install the Verizon Nano SIM card.
    The SIM card is included in a kit attached to the outside of the device box.
  2. Ensure the device is charged.
  3. Select one of the following methods to activate:
    • IVR
      1. From another phone, dial (866) 893-7723 and follow the prompts to begin the activation; provide the following info:
        • Type of device being activated
        • 20-digit SIM ID (located on the SIM card)
        • Your 5-digit ZIP code
      2. When prompted for payment, enter credit card info or a Verizon refill PIN number.
      3. Write down the phone number and Account Security Code.
      4. Turn on or restart the device.
        Service activation may take up to 15 minutes.
      5. Complete activation using a secure Wi-Fi connection when the device powers back on.
      6. Select a wireless network and enter the password.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the iPhone activation.
