Verizon Jetpack MiFi 7730L - Turn Network Name (SSID) On / Off

Here's how to display or not display your Verizon Jetpack MiFi 7730L Wi-Fi name to other devices.
  • Your Verizon Jetpack® MiFi® 7730L has a network name or SSID (Service Set Identifier) assigned to it.
  • The SSID is typically broadcast by default, but can be turned off for greater security.
  • When turned off, any device attempting to connect for the first time must know the SSID name and password to set up a manual connection to it.
    For the easiest connection experience, it's recommended to leave broadcast on.
  2. From the left menu, click
    Jetpack Settings
    .
  3. From the Wi-Fi tab, click
    Primary Network
     (located at the top).
  4. Click
    Options
     (lower-left).
  5. Tap
    Broadcast Wi-Fi Name (SSID)
     to turn on or off.
    On (broadcasting) when a check mark is present.
  6. Click
    Save Changes
     (lower-right).
