Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 edge - Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Here's how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your Galaxy S7 / S7 edge.
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture-free.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps
    Settings
    Lock screen and security
    .
  3. From the Biometrics section, tap
    Fingerprint Scanner
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. Perform one of the following:
    • First Time Setup
      1. Place your finger on the
        fingerprint sensor
         (Home key) until it vibrates then lift and repeat until the scan completes.
      2. Tap
        DONE
         (lower-right).
      3. If presented, tap the
        Notifications switch
         (upper-right) to turn on Switch on or off Switch off then tap
        DONE
        .
        When on, configure any of the following:
        • Hide content
          : Tap to turn on or off.
        • Notification icons only
          : Tap to turn on or off.
        • Transparency
          : Slide the
          blue bar
           left or right to adjust the level while viewing the preview at the top.
        • Auto-reverse text color
          : Tap to turn on or off. Reverses the color of notification text based upon background color.
      4. If presented, tap
        TURN ON
         (lower-right).
    • Add More Fingerprints
      1. From the 'Manage fingerprints' section, tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
        Up to 4 fingerprints can be registered on the device.
      2. Place your finger on the
        fingerprint sensor
         (Home key) until it vibrates then lift and repeat until the scan completes.
      3. Tap
        DONE
        .
    • Remove Fingerprint(s)
      1. From the 'Manage fingerprints' section, tap
        EDIT
         (upper-right).
      2. Tap (check) the fingerprint(s) to remove.
        To select all fingerprints, tap
        All
         (upper-left).
      3. Tap
        REMOVE
         (upper-right).
      4. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        REMOVE
