Here's how to call a number with your Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+.
  1. From a Home screen, tap
    Phone Phone icon
    (lower-left).
    If unavailable, touch and swipe up or down then tap Phone.
  2. Tap
    Keypad
    and enter the 10-digit number then tap the
    Send button
     send call icon (at the bottom).
    As the recipient's number or name is entered, a matching contact may appear and can be tapped at any time.
