Manage App Alerts / Notifications - Android

Alerts and notifications for apps on your Android™ device can be customized to control whether or not certain apps inform you of activity.
  1. Open your device's
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Apps
    .
    Depending on your device, navigation (e.g., App Manager, Application Manager, etc.) may vary.
  3. Tap an app (e.g., My Verizon, Verizon Cloud, etc.).
  4. Tap 'Notifications' or 'App notifications'.
  5. If necessary, tap
    Notification categories
     then tap a category (e.g., Default, Alerts, etc.).
  6. Tap the desired notification switch option (e.g., Incoming messages, Push notifications, etc.) to turn on or off.
    Turning off certain notifications may result in basic app features no longer working as intended.
  7. While on, tap the option (e.g., Call Notifications, Message Notifications, etc.) then customize as desired (e.g., Sound, Show notification dot, Set as priority, etc.).
