Install Device Software Updates - Arlo Go

Here's how to check for and install software updates on your Arlo Go camera.
Don't disconnect your camera, open the battery door, or remove the battery while the firmware update is in progress. Doing so may damage it.
  • Firmware updates are released automatically to all connected Arlo devices.
  • Automatic updates occur between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. to minimize camera downtime.
  • If the firmware update is a major one, you might be unable to stream from your camera until your firmware is updated.
  1. Launch the Arlo app on your smartphone or navigate and log in to the admin site via a browser.

    Supported browsers are Internet Explorer 10 or later, Microsoft Edge, Firefox 3.5 or later, Safari 3 or later, Chrome (latest version).
    The Arlo app is available via the Google Play and Apple App stores.
  2. From the top menu, tap or click
    Settings
     (upper-right, to the right of Mode).
  3. Tap or click the appropriate camera.
    Multiple cameras may appear.
  4. Tap or click
    Device Info
    .
    May require scrolling to the bottom.
  5. Tap or click
    Firmware
    .
  6. Tap or click
    Update
    .
    The camera's LED blinks blue and amber Blinking blue and amber while the firmware is downloading and installing.
    Allow several minutes for the process to complete.
