KYOCERA Cadence LTE - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure hotspot settings (e.g., password, allowed devices, broadcast channel, etc.) on your Cadence.
  1. From the main screen, select
    Menu
    .
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad to highlight and the center button to select.

  2. Select
    Tools and Settings
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Settings
    Wireless and networks
    Tethering and Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. Select
    Mobile Hotspot
     then press the
    center button
     to toggle On.
  5. Select
    Set
     then select
    OK
    .
  6. Select
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
    Mobile Hotspot must be on to access setup and configure settings.
  7. Configure any of the following as preferred:
    • Network name (SSID)
      To hide your connection from other devices, navigate to Hide my phone then press the
      left soft key
       to choose
      Check
      .
    • Security (WPA2 PSK, Open)
    • Password
      Password must contain at least 8 characters.
      1. Highlight the Password field then enter the new password then select
        If preferred, press the
        left soft key
         to place a checkmark in the 'Show password' field.
      2. Select
        Save
        .
    • Show password
      Enabled when a checkmark is present.
    • Broadcast channel
      1. Scroll down to Broadcast Channel then press the
        left soft key
        to choose
        Set
        .
      2. Highlight an option. (e.g., auto, 1-11) then select
        Save
        .
        To avoid interference with other Wi-Fi networks, try using non-overlapping channels (i.e., 1, 6, or 11).
    • Connected Devices
      1. Highlight
        Connected devices
         and press the
        right soft key
         to choose
        Options
         then
        Advanced
        .
        Restricts which devices are allowed to connect.
      2. Select
        Manage Devices
         then choose an option:
        • Allow all devices
          Toggle to turn on or off.
        • Allow devices
          To add a device:
          1. Select
            Add device
            .
          2. Enter the MAC address and device name (optional) then select
            Save
            .
