Here's how to extend battery life, view charging status / remaining battery and determine what uses the most power on your Galaxy Note8.

View Battery Life

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Battery usage

Review the info on the graph.

The graph shows the time since it was last charged to 100%.

Battery life is measured by standby time, talk time and data usage.

Review the Battery usage section.

indicates how much battery usage occurred for each category.

To improve battery life, you can:

Stop running apps that are not being used.

Disable apps that are consuming too much battery or RAM and not being used.

Contact the app developer if an app appears to cause excessive battery drain.

Adjust brightnesss to the lowest setting.

Turn off GPS when not in use.

If turned off, certain apps or services may not work properly.

Change account sync settings to the lowest frequency.

Remove widgets that automatically update.
