Here's how to erase all data on the memory card of your Galaxy Note8.
This procedure erases all data on the SD / memory card. It's recommended to back up your data before formatting.
  1. Ensure your Galaxy Note8 isn't connected to a computer via a USB cable and that an SD / memory card is inserted.
  2. Open the
    Settings app

  3. Navigate:
    Device care
    Storage
    .
  4. Tap the
    Menu icon
     3-dot Menu icon then tap
    Storage settings
    .
  5. From the Portable storage section, select the name of the SD / Memory Card.
    The name varies depending on the type of card used.
  6. Tap
    Format
    .
  7. Review the disclaimer then tap
    Format SD card
    .
    Allow several seconds for the process to complete.
