Samsung Galaxy Note8 - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Galaxy Note8.
  1. Ensure a secure screen lock type has been set up.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
  3. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face Recognition
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Continue
        .
      2. Review the info, select Yes or No then tap
        Continue
        .
      3. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed onscreen.
      4. From the 'Useful face recognition features' screen, tap the following to turn on or off (e.g., Stay on Lock screen, Faster recognition, etc.) then tap
        OK
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
