LG V30® - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your LG V30.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     on your LG V30®.
  2. Navigate:
    Lock screen & security
    Select screen lock
    .
    If prompted to add a Google™ account:
    • Tap Add Google account now to set up an account.
    • Tap
      Continue
       to proceed without setting up an account.
      If presented, enter the current knock code, pattern, PIN or password.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Set up Knock Code
      1. Tap
        Knock Code
        .
      2. If prompted, review the info then select 'Require knock code to turn on phone' or 'No, thanks'.
      3. Tap
        CONTINUE
        .
      4. If presented with the Knock Code tutorial, tap
        NEXT
        .
      5. Enter your pattern consisting of 6-8 taps in 3 different squares then tap
        DONE
        .
      6. Tap the screen to confirm the pattern then tap
        CONFIRM
        .
      7. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        OK
        .
    • Set up Pattern
      1. Tap
        Pattern
        .
      2. If prompted, review the info then select 'Require pattern to turn on phone' or 'No, thanks'.
      3. Tap
        CONTINUE
        .
      4. Draw an unlock pattern that connects at least 4 dots then tap
        NEXT
        .
      5. Draw the same pattern again then tap
        CONFIRM
        .
      6. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        OK
        .
    • Set up PIN
      1. Tap
        PIN
        .
      2. If prompted, review the info then select 'Require PIN to turn on phone' or 'No, thanks'.
      3. Tap
        CONTINUE
        .
      4. Enter a numeric PIN between 4 to 16 digits then tap
        NEXT
        .
      5. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
        OK
        .
      6. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        OK
        .
    • Set up Password
      1. Tap
        Password
        .
      2. If prompted, review the info then select 'Require password to turn on phone' or 'No, thanks'.
      3. Tap
        CONTINUE
        .
      4. Enter a password between 4 to 16 characters then tap
        NEXT
        .
      5. Re-enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
      6. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        OK
        .
    • Disable Screen Lock
      1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
      2. To confirm, tap
        DELETE
        .
