Accessibility Settings - Android

Here's how to configure common accessibility settings for your
Android
smartphone or tablet.
Available options may vary depending upon device.

Select to Speak

Tap specific items on the screen to have them read aloud.
  1. From the Home screen, navigate:
    Apps Icon
    Settings
    Accessibility
    .
    If unavailable, swipe screen left or right or tap the
    Arrow icon Arrow icon
    to display all steps.
  2. Tap
    Select to Speak
    .
  3. Tap the
    Select to Speak
    to turn on on switch or off off switch.

Sound Balance

For use with external devices such as earphones..
  1. From the Home screen, navigate:
    Apps Icon
    Settings
    Accessibility
    .
    If unavailable, swipe screen left or right or tap the

    to display all apps.
  2. If applicable, tap
    Vision
    .
  3. Tap
    Sound Balance
    .
  4. Utilize sliding bar to adjust sound to the right or left.

Screen color adjustment/correction

Color correction settings enables your device to compensate for color blindness.

  5. To change color correction mode, select
    Color correction
    , then choose one of the following options:
    • Deuteranomaly - reduced green vision
    • Protanomaly - reduced red vision
    • Trianomaly - reduced blue-yellow vision
