Google Pixel 2 - Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

Here's how to factory / hard reset your Pixel 2 / 2 XL if the screen freezes or call, app, audio or sync issues occur.
Perform a factory data reset only if necessary as it removes your Google account and all data including system data, app data, and media.
  1. Open the
    Settings app

    An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.
  2. Navigate:

    Reset options
    .
  3. Tap
    Erase all data (factory reset)
    .
  4. Tap
    Erase all data
    .
    If presented, enter the current PIN or password or draw the unlock pattern.
  5. Tap
    Erase all data
    .
    Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
    If needed, set up your device. If troubleshooting third-party apss, don't restore app data.
