Configure VoiceOver Settings

VoiceOver gives you auditory feedback so you can use your Apple® iPhone® or iPad® without needing to look directly at the screen. Learn how to customize settings to tailor speech audio, speech rates and touch controls to your personal preferences.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accessibility
    VoiceOver
    .
  3. Tap the
    VoiceOver switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. Tap any of the following to configure:
    • Speech
    • Braille
    • VoiceOver Recognition
    • Verbosity
    • Audio
    • Commands
    • Rotor
    • Activities
    • Typing
    • Quick Settings
  5. Tap the
    Large Cursor switch
     to turn on or off.
  6. Tap the
    Caption Panel switch
     to turn on or off.
  7. To reset VoiceOver settings, tap
    Reset VoiceOver Settings
    .
