Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+.
  1. Ensure a secure lock screen type has been set up.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Biometrics and security
    Face Recognition
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Continue
        .
      2. Review the info then tap
        Continue
        .
      3. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed on-screen.
      4. From the Useful face recognition features screen, tap switches to turn on or off  then tap
        OK
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, tap
        Remove
        .
